The Guarani Ñandeva people in Ypoi Triunfo have long sought full territorial protection amid delayed land demarcation, surrounding agribusiness expansion, and historic violence including the 2009 deaths of community teachers. Ongoing agricultural encroachment and registered mineral extraction requests add pressure to this frontier Indigenous territory.

Demarcated at COP30, the Ypoi-Triunfo territory is a symbol of the struggle and resistance of the Guarani people in Mato Grosso do Sul.
