Hello everyone! Victor here.

So, I know I have been awfully slow about it, but at last the Native Land organization has come together in such a way that we can get started for real. We received the formal incorporation documents just the other day, and we are officially now “Native Land Digital”. Lots of work to do getting on more logistical fixes like banks, accountants, payroll, and all that — but we’re getting somewhere!

I wanted to take this space to introduce some of the people we have coming on board as Board of Directors members as well as Advisory Council folks. As you may know from reading the last roadmap update, we have a few part-time employees now, namely helping with research, communications, and project management. So the team is growing. Here are our founding board members:

Leena Minifie

Lee Timutimu

Shauna Johnson

Mesiah Sweetgrass

We are happy to have things getting rolling in an official way. Next up will be formalizing all the processes that I’ve been working on over the past year, and really starting to move on doing some fundraising to make this organization something sustainable. We have a lot of big goals and ideas that you’ll be hearing about in the coming months as we get ourselves moving!

Thanks for all of your patience during the time and work of putting this together. We have often been a little slow or unattentive on fixes, despite best efforts. We are trying our best to keep up with things, and as always are really grateful that people are so willing to reach out and contribute. It means so much!

More coming soon, so stay tuned!
